This 2017 American play by Heidi Schreck which the NYT calls "Uproariously funny, wrenchingly moving, and politically inspiring," takes the lead character in and out of time periods to perform some scenes as her modern self and others as she participated in debates across the country in which she covers women's rights, immigration, domestic abuse, and the history of the United States with biting humor.
She reveals multiple juicy facts about the Constitution’s origins and tackles the nearly forgotten Ninth Amendment —which Schreck refers to as the shadowy part of the Bill of Rights. She also takes a deep dive into the Fourteenth Amendment, so relevant to today, which covers citizenship rights and what it means to be "American.”

This Herman Melville classic story centers on the maniacal quest of Ahab, captain of the whaling ship Pequod, for vengeance against Moby Dick the giant sperm whale who bit off his leg in a previous voyage. This production is performed in the Book-It style.

Start your Holiday Season with the perfect family experience that tells the story of the true meaning of Christmas. Vashon Repertory Theatre is bringing Fitzpatrick’s mesmerizing performance back to the Island by request from previous audiences. Don’t miss it this year. With this production, Allen follows in the footsteps of Charles Dickens who, a few years after writing the novella, began public readings of it which he continued to perform until his death. Dickens' novella captures the zeitgeist of the mid-Victorian revival of the Christmas holiday, popularizing many aspects of Christmas celebration— including family gatherings, seasonal food and drink, dancing, games, and a festive generosity of spirit. And it shows the path by which selfish, acquisitive men may redeem themselves. Its most profound theme, however, is to shine a light on mistreatment of the poor. Dickens wrote his novella in response to British social attitudes towards poverty. He was compelled to show the repercussions of ignoring the poor— especially children— in poverty.

Vashon’s Troll, Oscar the Bird King, all his wacky troll fellows, and the stupid humans who bedevil them reprised VRT’s original play about the fall and rise of the Bird King. Everything about this show is original — the fanciful script by Bryan Willis, the original music composed and performed by Vashon’s own Kat Eggleston, and the play’s emergence as an island treasure. The Play is great for kids with plenty of jokes for adults.
