Vashon Repertory Theatre is proud to announce formation of our Theatre Education Program

VRT YOUTH THEATRE, inaugurated seven weeks of full day Summer Camps for children in grades K through 12. Camps ran Monday thru Friday, 9am to 3pm at The Vashon-Maury Grange Hall, 10365 SW Cowan Rd., Vashon

Campers produced and performed in different plays each week to the delight of kids, parents and family friends.

STAY TUNED…there will be even more next summer.

Education Director Meg Thompson and her campers created a new show each week, with a performance for family and friends each Friday.

TEEN MUSICAL

This Summer’s Youth Theatre Camp included a Teen Musical for kids 13 to 18. This summer’s show was Next to Normal, a musical chosen by the Teen Visionary Ensemble ( pictured here).
The cast rehearsed three days per week for eight weeks ending with two performance weekends. There was no participation fee.

This summer’s program was so successful, the Teen Visionary Ensemble is already planning next year’s production.
